Their Book Nerd

Their Book Nerd (A Midland Springs Romance)

Rachael Bennett

I’m just an English teacher with a library obsession.

A serious, hardcore book nerd.

I’ve spent most of my life hiding in the stacks of the Midland Springs library, making my way from adventure to adventure—never leaving the pages to take any of my own. Until my best friend, Lydia, shows me a new genre that opens my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities.

Reverse Harem.

When Lydia’s brother, Julian, comes crashing back into my life with a new worldly outlook and the itch to settle down, my life is set on a course I never expected. Suddenly, my once boring life is full of men. Not just Julian, but Zack—the cute skater with eyes for both of us—and James—the hot, broody art teacher I’ve had a crush on for a long time.

For the first time in my life, I want to put my books down and live.

But will this feeling last long enough to write my own love story?

Their Book Nerd is a MMFM contemporary small town romance and the first book in the Midland Springs Romance series. This series is interconnected, but all books can be read as standalones.

Contains adult language and sexual content including m/m

Walking up the vast stone steps a smile bubbles onto my face. I haven’t even looked up to see the extraordinary entrance to my happy place, and I can barely contain the delight that being here creates. Raising my head just enough, I watch the steps as they converge with the open landing, hosting the gateway to my reprieve. I put a little pep in my step and glide through the automatic doors. After a long, tiring week of teaching English to 10th graders, I’ve finally made it. The Midland Springs Public Library, my sanctuary.

I know what you’re thinking. All this excitement for a dingy, old public library? Yeah, it doesn’t sound exciting when you put it that way. But the library is my safe haven. It’s the only place I can be myself and ignore the fact that to the rest of the town, I’m just a quiet nobody. I can pretend to be someone else, someone more adventurous. I can disappear into the pages of a fairy tale, immerse myself in the fantastical world where my prince slays the dragon to rescue me. I can even indulge myself in facts from the non-fiction section. The possibilities are endless, and the joy it brings me is tremendous.
